Why This Exists
“They tried to erase us. We built the archive.”
OUR MISSION
To preserve and share the true history of Foundational Black Americans through documented evidence and historical records, building pride through truth and challenging false narratives through education and empowerment.
Foundational Black Americans represent one of America's oldest continuous populations, with documented presence spanning over 400 years. Yet their history is being remixed, rewritten, forgotten, and erased — systematically replaced with narratives that deny their indigenous roots, minimize their contributions, and obscure the unprecedented scale of oppression they have faced.
The FBA Archives exists to counter that erasure. Every article, every timeline entry, every figure profile is built on documented evidence and scholarly sources. This is not opinion. This is the record.

Documentation Focus
Creating a permanent, accessible digital record for future generations.
THE PROBLEM
FBA history is being diluted and combined with other narratives, erasing the specific experience of America's foundational Black population.
Textbooks and media minimize FBA contributions while appropriating their innovations, music, and culture without credit.
Paper genocide, destroyed records, and institutional neglect have eliminated vast portions of FBA historical documentation.
From Walter Plecker's racial reclassification to COINTELPRO's destruction of organizations, systematic erasure continues in new forms.
